Sarasota, Florida • Real prices, real receipts The Sarasota Self-Care Receipt: What $95, $195 and $910 Really Buy, Plus the Fine Print Nobody Reads We read the published menus of a Sarasota day spa, a private nail suite and a family-run cleaning company, then wrote out the receipts. Here is what each budget actually gets you, where the small savings hide, and which costs you will only learn at checkout if you skip the fine print. “How much is a massage?” sounds like a simple question, but the usual answer, “it depends,” helps nobody. So we did it the old-fashioned way. We opened the websites of three Sarasota businesses with free Cottlink profiles and copied the numbers: BlueAloe Day Spa in a restored cottage in Gillespie Park, The Nail Lab, an owner-run nail studio that operates from Salon Forty One in downtown Sarasota, and Private Home Cleaning, a family-owned company based in North Sarasota. Every price below is as published on October 12, 2026. Prices and menus change, so treat this as a planning guide and confirm when you book. Nobody paid to be included, and we have not added any prices that the businesses did not publish. Receipt 1: The $95 reset ItemPrice BlueAloe Signature Glow Facial, 1 hour$95 Optional: coconut oil scalp massage add-on$15 Optional: LED light add-on$15 What you get: BlueAloe describes the Signature Glow Facial as cleansing, exfoliation, massage, light extractions and a nourishing mask, and lists vitamin C, niacinamides and hyaluronic acid among its ingredients. If you would rather have a massage, the one-hour BlueAloe Signature Massage is $105, the Therapeutic Deep Pressure Massage is $110 and the Peppermint Lavender Hot Stone Massage, which the spa calls its most sought-after treatment, is $130. The fine print: The massage menu says every appointment includes 10 minutes for consultation and changing, so a “one-hour” booking includes that time. Add-ons such as the scalp massage, aromatherapy ($15), hot stones ($20) and cupping ($20) are added when you arrive. Receipt 2: The $195 “do both” day ItemPrice Glow & Relax Spa Package: one-hour BlueAloe Massage plus one-hour Signature Facial$195 per person GratuityNot included The math: Booked separately, a one-hour Signature Massage ($105) and a one-hour Signature Glow Facial ($95) add up to $200. The package saves you $5, and you only have to book once. The plot twist for pairs: BlueAloe’s Couples Package One, a one-hour Swedish or deep tissue massage for two side by side, is listed at $190 for both people, gratuity not included. Two separate one-hour Signature Massages would be $210. If you were going to go with a friend or partner anyway, the couples option is the cheaper way to do it. Receipt 3: The $910 anniversary ItemPrice BlueAloe Couples Spa Day, for two (about 4 hours)$910 Included: one-hour Peppermint Lavender Hot Stone Massage, BlueAloe Facial and Pink Himalayan Salt Glow for each guest, a charcuterie board and a bottle of champagneIncluded GratuityIncluded The fine print that matters: Some packages include gratuity and some do not, so read the last line before comparing prices. The $910 Couples Spa Day, the $550-per-person Mimosa Spa Day and the $275-per-person Tropical Infusion all include gratuity. The $195 Glow & Relax and the $190 Couples Package One do not. A package that includes gratuity can end up cheaper at checkout than a lower sticker price plus a tip. Receipt 4: The house-call mani-pedi ItemPrice Mobile Manicure$95 Mobile Pedicure$175 Mobile service fee (varies by location)$45+ Starting total for one person$315+ The Nail Lab publishes its mobile prices. In-salon prices appear only in its online booking system, which is why they are not on this receipt. The asterisk is the salon’s own: the final price depends on the condition of your hands and feet and the length of your nails. The fine print: Mobile visits need at least two services, and each additional person costs $20 more in mobile fees. A mani-pedi party at home is the efficien
