Kissimmee Dentists and Chiropractors

Kissimmee, Florida โ€ข Teeth and backs

A good dentist and a chiropractor you trust are two of the most useful contacts a Kissimmee household can have. This guide explains how to match your needs to a practice, compares hours and services at four local offices and lists questions for the first visit.

This article is general information, not medical advice. Speak with a licensed dentist, chiropractor or doctor about your own symptoms and treatment.

Choosing a health provider is personal. Some people want the closest office, others want a particular treatment, a Saturday slot or a team that speaks Spanish. The best approach is to write down what matters to you, then check each practice against that list. Below are four Kissimmee practices, two dental and two chiropractic, with what each publishes about its services and hours.

Step 1: write your needs list

  • 1. Who needs care? Children, adults, older relatives or the whole family.
  • 2. What kind of care? Check-ups and cleanings, a missing tooth, straightening, back or neck pain, an injury after a car accident.
  • 3. When can you go? Early mornings, late afternoons, Fridays or Saturdays.
  • 4. How will you pay? Insurance, financing or self-pay.
  • 5. Language. If you would rather be seen in Spanish, ask about it when you call.

Dentists: two practices, different strengths

Kissimmee Family Dentistry on Person Street sits near Osceola Regional Medical Center and says patients have trusted it for more than 30 years. Dr. Patrick Mokris, a University of Florida dental graduate, has practiced in Kissimmee since 2007, and Dr. Meyer trained at Midwestern University after studying at UCF. The practice is known for tooth replacement: implants, All-on-4, Teeth in a Day and full mouth rehabilitation. It also offers cleanings, fillings, crowns, root canals, Invisalign, veneers, whitening and sleep apnea treatment. Hours are Monday to Thursday 8 am to 4 pm and Friday 8 am to 1 pm, with weekends closed.

Parkway Dental Care on East Osceola Parkway has served local families for 18 years, with Dr. Philip and Dr. Nguyen leading the team. It keeps orthodontics in house, so braces and Invisalign do not require a referral, and it offers CEREC same-day restorations, implants, All-on-4, dentures, root canals, treatment for teeth grinding and sleep apnea, and QuietNite laser treatment for snoring. Hours are 8 am to 4 pm on Monday and Friday, 8 am to 6 pm Tuesday to Thursday and Saturday by appointment. New patients have a separate line, which is shown on the practice's profile.

Which suits you? If tooth replacement is the main issue, Kissimmee Family Dentistry's focus on implants and full-mouth work is worth a consultation. If you want late weekday appointments, a Saturday option or orthodontics under one roof, Parkway Dental Care's schedule may fit better.

Questions for your first dental call

  • 1. Are you accepting new patients, and do you take my insurance?
  • 2. What does a first visit include, and how long does it take?
  • 3. How do you handle dental emergencies for existing patients?
  • 4. Do you offer financing for larger treatment?
  • 5. Can you help nervous patients feel more comfortable?

Chiropractors: two Oak Street clinics

Arias Chiropractic on West Oak Street is family owned and says it has served the community for more than 30 years. Dr. Roberto Arias and his staff bring more than 25 years of experience. The clinic treats back pain, neck pain, headaches and migraines, puts a strong emphasis on rehabilitation and has a dedicated auto accident care service. Alongside adjustments it offers deep tissue laser therapy, shockwave therapy and WinBack therapy. The schedule is split: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8 am to 6 pm, and Tuesday and Friday mornings only, 8 am to noon.

Grasso Chiropractic, a few doors away on West Oak Street, offers same-day appointments and a team-based care model built on more than 41 years of experience. Its staff includes two chiropractic physicians, a certified X-ray technician and four certified assistants, and the whole team is fully bilingual in English and Spanish. X-rays can be taken on site, and the treatment list includes spinal decompression, manual spinal distraction, the Activator Method, cold laser, ultrasound, electrical muscle stimulation and massage. Hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8 am to 6 pm and Tuesday and Thursday 8 am to 5 pm.

Which suits you? If you need to be seen today, or want X-rays in the same building, Grasso's same-day appointments and on-site imaging stand out. If you are recovering from a car accident and are interested in laser or shockwave therapy, ask Arias Chiropractic about its approach.

Questions for your first chiropractic visit

  • 1. Will you examine me and explain what you find before treating?
  • 2. Do I need X-rays, and can they be done here?
  • 3. How many visits do you expect, and how will we know it is working?
  • 4. What can I do at home between visits?
  • 5. If I was in a car accident, what records do you need?

Bring a list of medications, any previous imaging and, after an accident, the police report number and your insurance details. Tell the provider about any numbness, weakness or loss of bladder control straight away, as those symptoms need urgent medical attention rather than a routine appointment.
