Buz's Automotive

Buz's Automotive is a family owned and operated repair shop at 1761 North Wickham Road in Melbourne, in business since 1971. It was started by Berlie Busbey, an avid car enthusiast whose vision was quality, honest car repair at a comparable price. His son Brian joined straight out of high school in 1989, and Berlie helped him set up the shop's computer diagnostics side; Ray joined in 2017 and Brandon in 2021, and he is learning under Brian and Ray. The service list covers complete computer diagnostics, a complete safety analysis, drivability problems, tune-ups, oil changes, brake repair, which the shop calls a specialty, steering and suspension work, air conditioning repair and diagnosis, and general drive train and engine repair, along with mechanical and electrical problems. A night drop is available, so you can leave the car after hours and have it looked at the next morning. It suits drivers who want a long-running neighbourhood garage on the Wickham Road corridor, families with older cars that need honest advice, and anyone chasing a check-engine light. No prices are posted, so ask for an estimate. The shop is open Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5:30 pm and closed on weekends. Call to book or to describe the problem first.
