Kind Touch Cleaning

Kind Touch Cleaning, formerly Mini Maid of Alachua County, is a home and office cleaning company at 1831 NW 13th Street, Suite 8, owned by Bob and Carol Doak and providing home and commercial cleaning since 1973. The company says many clients have stayed with it for 20 years or more. Its teams consist of a leader plus two or three cleaners who arrive in a company-marked vehicle, in uniform and with their own equipment and supplies, and it tries to assign a consistent leader to each home so the crew learns the household's specific preferences. A standard visit covers bathrooms and kitchens, vacuuming and mopping, dusting baseboards and ceiling fans, changing beds, cleaning cabinets and removing cobwebs. All supplies and chemicals are eco-friendly, nontoxic and non-caustic, chosen to be safe for people, pets and surfaces, and crews are trained, supervised, insured and bonded. If a client is not completely satisfied, a call within 24 hours of service brings the team back to re-clean that area. Kind Touch also cleans offices and corporate clients, sells gift certificates in custom amounts and shares monthly cleaning tips by newsletter. It serves Gainesville, Alachua, Haile Plantation, parts of High Springs, Melrose, Micanopy and eastern Newberry, and donates time to Cleaning for a Reason and Clean Start Day.
