Bamboo Cask Lounge

Bamboo Cask Lounge is a restaurant, grill and lounge on Keiyo Road off Kolobot Road in Ngara West, about 100 metres from Stima Plaza. It opens daily from 8:00 AM until late and combines dining, a sports bar, accommodation and event space, a short hop from both Parklands and Nairobi CBD.

Kenyan cooking is the focus. The house speciality is free-range kuku kienyeji, dry-fried or slow-cooked with spices, and the grill turns out pork choma, honey-glazed pork, beef choma and goat choma by the kilo, plus whole lake tilapia grilled or fried. The kitchen also makes soups such as matumbo, oxtail, beef and chicken, and serves kachumbari, chips and fruit salad on the side. Mornings start with a full English breakfast or an African breakfast of tea or porridge with nduma, sweet potato, beans and egg.

The bar screens sport and mixes signature cocktails, while comfortable rooms are available for guests who want to stay over near town. Conference rooms and private event facilities can be booked for meetings and celebrations.
