DeSoto Animal Clinic

DeSoto Animal Clinic is a full-service animal hospital at 2910 Manatee Avenue West in Bradenton, run by licensed veterinarian Dr. Alex Kanzler. All of its doctors are licensed in Florida, and the clinic handles routine medical, surgical and dental care as well as emergency cases that arrive during office hours. After hours the building is used by a separate emergency practice, Bradenton Veterinary Emergency, so pets have somewhere to go overnight. Vaccinations are matched to each animal's lifestyle and risk, with rabies required by ordinance and other shots recommended at routine exams; the site publishes prices, such as $32 for a one-year canine Bordetella vaccine. The clinic offers MLS laser therapy for temporary relief of joint and muscle pain, and its diagnostic ECGs are sent to a board-certified veterinary cardiologist for review. It also now sees pocket pets. Prescriptions and diets can be ordered through its Covetrus online pharmacy for patients examined within the past year, with autoship and refill reminders, and a free pet portal gives clients access to health records. The team stresses nutrition and prevention as the base of good care. Office hours are Monday to Friday 8 am to 5:30 pm and Saturday 8 am to noon; call ahead for urgent matters.
